Observatories
We proudly collaborate with the following organizations:
NANOGrav
NANOGrav (North American Nano Hertz Gravitational Wave Observatory) is a consortium of physicists and astronomers seeking to detect gravitational waves via
the precise timing of a network of radio pulsars.
There are two telescopes of primary use to the NANOGrav team. These are the Arecibo Radio Telescope, situated in Puerto Rico and operated by
Cornell University under a cooperative agreement with the NSF and the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope, which is located in West Virginia
and operated by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO).
Data collected at both of these telescopes is used for the NANOGrav project and the dataproducts will be available through this website, which is hosted at the
Cornell Center for Advanced Computing (CAC), after the proprietary period has ended.
